Poster

Image
This is my final poster and the image that I used. My inspiration behind this was to create a sexual assault awareness poster. I wanted to use the percentage of how many women aged 18-24 have been sexually harassed in there life. This is something that is super important to me, so I wanted my poster to reflect that. I wanted the saying to be powerful and tie into the picture I decided to use of myself. The color palette that I decided to use showcases the color of the sexual assault awareness ribbon, which is the background color. I really like the blue and greens and how well they look together.

Calligram

Image
Here is my final calligram using the words from the letter I wrote to my future self. It was a little confusing at first, but I was able to create shapes that mimic my face shape. I do want to go back in and add more shapes in the face area to make it look more complex than it is right now.

Calligram Letter/Selfie

This is the selfie I plan on using for my calligram along with the letter I wrote to my future self. I will be using pieces from the letter as the words in my calligram.

Business Card/3D Primitives

Image
This is my logo on a horizontal business card. I wanted to play around with the gradients and add a cool background and see how my logo would look on it. I used warm colors for the gradient.  This is my logo on a vertical business card. I decided to try a black background and see what my logo would look on a dark background.  This is my logo on 6 different 3D primitives. I had trouble with  my logo to show up on the objects, so I had to use the all black version of my logo on the objects.    This is my logo on a vertical business card. I wanted to do another business card for fun and try another type of gradient. I decided to use cool colors in the background and see what my logo would look like on these business cards.

Logo

This is my final logo in full color. I decided to go with the open mouth for the word expressive. I think this logo describes me the best.   This is my logo in just 2 colors: Black and White. This is my logo fully colored on a black background.  This is my logo in just 2 colors: White and Black. I thought this was a really fun and interesting assignment. I got to learn more on how logos can be adapted to different backgrounds. I had a fun time transferring my logo from my drawing into an illustrator file. I learned on how to use different illustrator tools that I didn't even know existed. I enjoyed playing with the different layers and being able to alter specific sections of the image at a time.
